Quality is our Concern

It's no secret that all things are not created equal; dental labs included. Dr. Gardner takes great pride in meticulously selecting only the labs who utilize the best technology and materials available.

In addition to our lab selection process, we proudly utilize digital impressions in our office. Digital impressions are not only easier for our patients, they also deliver the most accurate results to the lab.

This results in providing our patients with optimal restorations, which should, when properly maintained, last a very long time.

If you in need of dental restorations, give us a call. Your smile will thank you!

Hate the Waiting Game?

In today’s hustle and bustle, always-on-the-go lifestyles, it’s no surprise that people are always looking to get things done more quickly.

As corporate dental practices continue to pop up in the most convenient of places, it’s important that our patients (and potential patients!) understand just what sets us apart.

But don’t take our word for it; here’s what our patients who have visited corporate offices have to say:

·         “I scheduled an appointment for a cleaning, but waited almost two hours before I was even seated! The worst part? The same thing happened to my husband a few days later.”

·         “Every visit there’s a new doctor. I feel like treatment is always changing and I don’t even know the person digging around in my mouth.”

·         “When scheduling I’ve had to call repeatedly and leave messages. When they do answer or call back, their hours are so limited that it’s difficult to schedule. I don’t know what would happen in a true dental emergency!”

·         “The staff rarely make me feel like I’m more than a number. I imagine their turnover is high because it always seems like there’s someone new and not quite trained.”

·         “I just had a crown done a few months ago and it’s already giving me issues. I was told there’s nothing that they can do and the crown will need to be redone – at full price!”

Here’s how we’re different:

·         We value our patients’ time. We do not double book and rarely do patients even find themselves with time to take a seat in our reception area.

·         Dr. Gardner has proudly served Montgomery County for 27 years. He and Dr.  Romeo consider their patients extended family and enjoy hearing and learning about their personal lives. Continuity of treatment is incredibly important to both of them.

·         All patients are given the doctors’ personal cell phone numbers in the event of any emergency. In addition, our phones are answered 24/7 by a friendly team member, not an answering service. Call by 12 pm and you’ll be seen for a dental emergency the same day – guaranteed! We also proudly offer early morning and late afternoon appointments to accommodate even the most complicated of schedules.

·         We pride ourselves on our customer service. It is the goal of each team member to over deliver and make sure that our patients have an exceptional experience in our office. We don’t take hiring lightly – all of our team members are cross-trained to better serve you!

·         Our doctors stand behind their work. So much so that as long as patients maintain their regular cleanings, work is Waran’teeth’ed a minimum of five years

Snore No More

With so many patients complaining about their spouses snoring and keeping them awake my team and I decided it was time to invest in a laser that can help tremendously reduce snoring.

This procedure, done solely with lasers, called NightLase provides a non-surgical path to a better night's sleep. The laser light therapy tightens and opens the airway with a very high success rate and there is no anesthesia necessary. After just one treatment most patients notice at least a 50% reduction in snoring!

While this treatment will probably not cure the underlying disease of sleep apnea, it will allow patients utilizing CPAP therapy to, in most cases, turn down air pressure. Nightlase also works very well in conjunction with oral appliance therapy.*

"After my first NightLase procedure with Dr. Gardner, I immediately felt like I could breath better, and every night since then my husband has said that I have just lightly 'purred,' instead of a loud snore like before. And that's after just one treatment!" - Rachel P. (actual patient)

We invite you to try NightLase, the alternative treatment for snoring, with us for a very special price. This procedure, which is three sessions, is normally an $1,800 investment. Beginning now until October 31 we're happy to offer this to our patients for only $1,200. That's $600 in savings!

For more information on this revolutionary treatment we've included a video below.

For more information and to schedule your reservation please give us a call: 936-585-4353.

*Oral appliance therapy is an alternative to CPAP therapy and is offered in our office. For more information visit this blog post

Complimentary Orthodontic Consultation

A Beautiful, Functional Smile is Closer Than You Think

Who doesn't want a perfect smile? What if your gorgeous smile could save you from headaches, facial pain and sleep issues later?

Dr. Gardner just returned this weekend from a continuing education course on neuromuscular orthodontics taught by world-famous Dr. Jay Gerber. Dr. Gardner has been studying under Dr. Gerber for the last six years. Dr. Gerber has taught thousands of dentists around the world about neuromuscular orthodontics.
(Find more info on Dr. Gerber here: http://www.orthodonticstudies.com/)

Neuromuscular (NM) orthodontics is much more than just straightening teeth and creating beautiful smiles. NM orthodontics helps tremendously reduce the odds of developing TMJ problems, as well as sleep apnea issues. During this treatment teeth are gradually moved to the place where the head and neck muscles are most comfortable and able to work in harmony during chewing, speaking, swallowing, etc..

"I am passionate about our children avoiding future TMJ issues, headaches, migraines and sleep apnea issues as an adult, that plagues our society" Dr. Gardner said.

NM orthodontics can be completed on children, as well as adults. The sooner children are able to begin NM orthodontic treatment, the more likely they are to avoid painful issues like TMJ problems and sleep apnea later in life.

From now until July 31 Dr. Gardner is proud to offer complimentary orthodontic consultations for the whole family! For children, there's no better time than the summer to begin treatment. Summertime affords kids the time to get used to braces and perfect their speah prior to the start of school.

We've Got Your Back --- Guaran'teeth'ed

Did you know that we offer our patients a "waran-teeth" on their dental work? This means that as long as our patients maintain their necessary preventive care reservations, as recommended by their doctor and hygienist, we will replace any work completed in our office (fillings, crowns, etc.) at no charge for 5 years!

Our doctors stand behind their work and know that if proper care is taken, restorations should not fail. They believe this so much so that if something were to occur, as long as you've maintained your regularly scheduled reservations your work will be replaced at no charge for restorations up to 5 years old.

See the letter presented to our patients in-office below!

WARAN “TEETH”

Dear Valued Patient,

Congratulations on your new restoration(s)! You have helped protect your tooth/teeth from further breakdown and potential loss. With proper cleaning and maintenance, you should expect this restoration to last for many years. In fact, we are confident that you will not have any problems with the breakdown of your restoration for at least five years. Should you happen to; we will redo the restoration at no charge or apply the money you spent on that restoration toward another solution. The only thing you have to do is keep up with your hygienist’s recommended cleaning and fluoride schedule with our office, and take care of any other decay in that quadrant at the same time.
The actual restorations typically do not fail. The way these restorations could fail is by the tooth getting decay at or below the margin. This is usually from inadequate home care or doing “crazy little things at night.” “Crazy little things at night” refers to the fact that many people are eating or drinking right before they go to bed or even in bed. As you prepare yourself for bed, everything starts slowing down, including salivation. This means whatever you put in your mouth late at night will stay in your mouth longer, creating decay. Unfortunately, almost everything we eat or drink contains sugar. Most patients we’ve met over the years who have had a lot of decay, have reported drinking sodas, juice, milk, eating ice cream and cough drops in bed or just before going to bed. Hopefully you get the picture!
Home care should include brushing and flossing in the morning and more importantly, at night. This removes the plaque that harbors the bacteria responsible for decay and gum disease.

So here are the rules for a decay free and gum disease free life:
1.       After you are finished with your dinner, drink and dessert, stick with water.
2.       Before going to bed, brushing and flossing and cleaning the palate, cheeks and tongue will assure that everything is out of your mouth!

Again, although dental decay is a disease, it is preventable!

Yours truly,

Dr. Timothy E. Gardner, DDS

Dr. Seth A. Harris, DDS

That's right - you get the smile of your dreams and save money!
If you've been considering improving your smile or securing dentures there is no better time than now.

The best part? Implants are very durable and will last many years. With good care, many implants last a lifetime. Consider implants an investment in your health and yourself!

Our practice is proud to house the advanced technology of a 3-D imaging machine. This machine allows us to take a personalized approach to our patients' care, ensuring that we're placing dental implants as accurately as possible and minimizing risks.

Just see what a few of our patients have to say about their life-changing experience with dental implants:

"At the time in which I starting coming to Dr. Gardner's office, I was having constant trouble with my dentures. They were loose and causing constant issues. I was self-conscious; I would not go out to eat with others, watched what I ate, and knew what not to try.Dr. Gardner placed implants on the top and bottom and new dentures were made.
I have more confidence now; I smile a lot more. I look directly at someone when doing so. I had a tendency not to smile before as I was afraid someone would know I was wearing dentures. I laugh more, and I eat more of the foods I enjoy, not the ones that are just safe." -Cathy J.

Listen in as patient John S. talks candidly about his dental implant experience:

Don't wait to get the smile and comfort you've long desired.
