For an Incredible Cause

The team at Conroe Comprehensive Dental Center feels very strongly about serving those who serve us and have made sacrifices for our country and freedoms. We have many service men and women in Montgomery County who have lost limb(s) or are paralyzed.

During the month of September, 10 percent of all treatment completed will go toward the purchase of Action Trackchairs for deserving, disabled veterans in our community.

The Action TrackChair bursts through the confines of a conventional wheelchair allowing the user to get outside and explore a variety of terrains and trek with ease through the woods, beach, mud, snow, etc. It also allows the individual to stand in the chair. The possibilities for these veterans are pretty fascinating. Please click the link below for more information.

"These chairs really allow the veteran to regain some of his/her freedom that he/she has fought so hard for us to have," Dr. Gardner said.

If you have been putting off dental treatment, now would be a great time to help contribute to someone who has served you.  Remember, we’re open Monday-Thursday 7 am -7 pm and Friday 7 am – 4 pm to better suit your busy schedule! Dr. Gardner and Dr. Burch are also willing to extend hours further as needed to accommodate everyone desiring to participate in this cause.

We look forward to seeing you in September to support this wonderful cause and help us change lives!

For more information on Dr. Gardner and how you can contribute visit us online at www.drtimgardner.com or call 936-539-3636.

Even when tiny...tooth cracks need attention

Every tooth fracture needs prompt treatment. No chip or crack is insignificant.

Unfortunately, some cracks are too small to be seen, even by a trained eye. Sometimes the culprit is a hairline crack in what looks like a healthy tooth. You may not be aware of the damage until pain fills your mouth. You may not even be sure which tooth is causing you trouble.

Chips and cracks cannot be safely ignored. Untreated, tooth fractures grow larger and longer, inviting bacteria and tooth decay. Cracks in teeth also darken and age your smile. Taking that "stitch in time" before your mouth unravels will save you pain, time and expense.

Most cracks are superficial, involving only part of the crown, maybe a bit of the root structure. With fast and effective direct bonding, we can stop a small fracture from growing ugly.

What's more, 90 percent of all cracks need nothing more than an uncomplicated treatment like tooth-colored fillings, porcelain laminated veneers, or crowns. Don't put it off until that little crack becomes one of the ten percent that need serious measures. If you chip or crack a tooth, call us today for an appointment.

Taking that "stitch in time" before your mouth unravels will save you pain, time and expense.

If you have questions or concerns regarding cracked teeth, please don't hesitate to call us at 936-539-3636 or email us at drtimgardner@consolidated.net today.

If you have any friends or family members who you feel could use our services, please don't hesitate to have them call us. We'll be sure to take good care of them.

Avoiding Big Dental Costs

It may be hard to believe, but we want to help our patients before problems occur, which saves time, effort and money!

Whoever warned against being "penny wise and pound foolish" must have been thinking of times like these. When the economy is just limping along (and dollars are tight at home) it's natural to look for ways to cut down on unnecessary expenses. Too often, cutting back on today's unnecessary expense leads to far greater costs just a ways down the road. And that's especially true of dental care.
Of course, your dental practitioner recognizes that every household economy goes through its own ups and downs. But they also believe that maintaining a high level of health is the cheapest form of insurance. So they'll work with you to get the dental care you need - when you need it.

When you wait too long, a lot can happen.

  • Gum problems don't hurt at first, so you may not even know you have disease lurking. And periodontitis can flare up despite conscientious home hygiene.
  • Old fillings can leak at the margins where filling and tooth meet, inviting decay under a filling. If you let it go, it's crown time.
  • A fractured tooth is often invisible and may require a root canal to save it. Waiting for it to heal usually results in dental bridges.
  • If you're missing a tooth, your neighboring teeth will grow disrupted and loose.
  • Topical fluorides and sealants are a good idea for children - even adults.
  • Early orthodontics can save you a bundle later on.
Another wise philosopher pointed out, "There's a time in the life of every problem when it's large enough to see...and small enough to solve." By catching dental problems before they grow, you'll be spared both money and discomfort.

We can help get you and your family back on track! Call us today at 936-539-3636 or check us out online at www.conroesmilemakeover.com

We're Here for YOU!

Most people have probably been in this unfortunate situation: something, whether it be the plumbing, A/C, water, etc., goes haywire right after closing time for the business that can help. It’s simply not a fun or convenient place to be!

We never want our patients, or any other doctors’ patients for that matter, hurting through a weekend or evening. Besides being painful, a toothache can be indicative of an infection. And as you know infections are never good!

To ensure our patients, new and existing alike, are never put in a compromising dental situation we answer our phones 24/7 and happily see emergency patients on weekends and evenings. You can rest assured that our phones will be answered by a team member and not an answering service. We love helping people and take our job as dental professionals very seriously.

Although we never want to meet you or a loved one under emergency circumstances, please keep us in mind should the need arise.

Also remember that regular check-ups can practically eliminate emergency situations. If you're looking to establish a new dentist, look no further. We're always accepting new patients and would love to make you apart of our dental family.

Check us out online at www.drtimgardner.com or call 936-539-3636 for more information.
