Make Your First Impressions Positive Ones

Thanks to cosmetic dentistry, your new "smile lift" can make you more approachable, huggable, kissable and confident.

When it comes to professional networking or meeting that special someone, you only get one chance to make a good first impressionFair or unfair- people make snap judgements.

Dr. Michelle Callahan, renowned psychologist and relationship expert says "...studies indicate that lasting impressions are made within the first three seconds of seeing someone."

Yikes...three seconds, unsightly teeth don't stand a chance!! We'll help you get the smile you were meant to have.

Don't Just Take Our Word For It!

While it may not be "right", economists with the Federal Reserve discovered that attractive people earn higher incomes!

An American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD) study showed that smile flaws provoke incorrect assumptions about your personality, happiness, success and intelligence!

Similarly, according to the 2012 Kelton study, Americans consider those with straight teeth to be more trustworthy, happier, healthier and smarter. The survey

also showed that 38% of single adults would not consider going on a second date with someone who has crooked teeth!

Improving Your Smile Improves Your Life!

Whether you're a parent or student...seeking a job or a promotion...or enjoying retirement - your healthy, inviting smile will have lifelong benefits.

In Honor of our Veterans

Dr. Tim Gardner, of Conroe Comprehensive Dental Center, armed with staff and volunteers, is out to change lives by offering free dentistry to the veterans of Montgomery County as he hosts the 3rd Annual Dentistry for Veterans event.

The event will take place Saturday, November 16, 2013 at the office of Conroe Comprehensive Dental Center., at 2210 North Frazier, Suite 120 in Conroe. Prescreening is preferred and those who qualify are asked to call to make a reservation prior to the event. Walk-ins are welcome as well, but there is no guarantee of treatment.

The event will treat those who have honorably served in the U.S. Armed Forces. There will be no cost to those who show proof of military service. Procedures include, but are not limited to, cleanings, exams, extractions and simple fillings.

“I hold our military in very high regard,” Gardner said. “Without them we would not enjoy the freedoms we have today. This is just a small way to give back to a great cause.”

In 2013, Conroe Comprehensive Dental Center and volunteers served 27 Montgomery County veterans and donated more than $42,900 worth of free dentistry. They hope to grow the event this year.

Cavity Prevention Can Save You Thousands!

The Data and Analysis Center reviewed more than 77 million Delta Dental claims and found that - over a lifetime - a single cavity can have serious economic consequences down the road.

We can help you prevent tooth decay and save you a bundle!

With new advances in dental technology and treatment, we can stop tooth decay from progressing and beautifully restore damaged teeth. Once restored, proper home care will help your restorations last; however, there is no such things a a permanent dental restoration.

That's why we are so passionate about having you and your family come in for routine dental exams to help prevent tooth decay. That means not waiting until you're in pain to  call us!

Keep Your Pearly Whites Pristine!

A new study shows that since all restorations are "temporary" the lifetime cost of treating just one molar that started with a small filling - on average - is about $2,187. Multiply that by several teeth and you'll come up with lots of reasons you'd rather enjoy spending your hard-earned money on other things.

Every dollar spent on preventive care can save you money by avoiding restorative and emergency procedures.

Let's face it, by comparison an exam costs next to nothing. And this is where the real prevention comes in. We now know that when good oral hygiene is coupled with regular dental visits and cleanings - cavities are almost entirely preventable.

Yet, 90% of all adults have had one or more cavities. And nearly 80% of young people have had a cavity by age 17. We don't want you or you family to become another dental statistic. When caught early, we can restore the form and function of  your decayed teeth before more serious damage occurs.

If you really want to keep you pocketbook and your pearly whites happy...preventive dentistry is the way to go.

The more we learn, the more YOU benefit!

The practice of dental sleep medicine in Conroe just advanced, thanks to Timothy Gardner of Conroe Comprehensive Dental Center. Dr. Gardner, a member of the national non-profit American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine (AADSM), was one of more than 1,100 registrants at the AADSM’s American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine 23rd Annual Meeting in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The annual event aims to foster the advancement of oral appliance therapy as a treatment for obstructive sleep apnea and snoring.

An effective alternative to continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP), oral appliance therapy uses a mouth-guard like device, worn only during sleep, to maintain an open, unobstructed airway. Gathering with leaders in the field of dental sleep medicine, Dr. Gardner reviewed new clinical studies and treatment procedures centered on oral appliance therapy that he can now apply to his Conroe practice.

“Opportunities like these allow me to further hone my skills in dental sleep medicine and ensure that I can continue to provide my patients with the best treatment solutions for their snoring and sleep apnea”, Gardner said . “Many local residents need an effective alternative to CPAP, and participating in helps me provide cutting-edge oral appliance therapy for my patients.”

AADSM’s American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine 23rd Annual Meeting was held at Minneapolis, Minnesota, on May 29 – 31, 2014. It offers the opportunity for further education as attendees discuss recent advances in sleep apnea and snoring treatments, review the relationship between sleep apnea, snoring and various health problems and come to understand new evidence regarding long-term oral appliance therapy care.

Patients with loud snoring and diagnosed sleep apnea sufferers with difficulty tolerating CPAP should contact Dr. Gardner at 936-539-3636 to schedule a consultation. Dr. Gardner works closely with sleep physicians to treat snoring and obstructive sleep apnea.
